Taking Door Panel Off 2002 Explorer

I removed the screw on the bottom of the panel the 2 screws near the handle.

Once the trim panel is unclipped pull the handle towards you to slide the panel around it. Step 3 use the phillips screwdriver to remove the two mounting screws beneath the door panel armrest. There are two clips located on the forward portion of the panel. If you brake a white grip pin type plastic retainer don t worry about it you can by some at any parts store. I have the panel off the lip at the top and it look read more. I pried off the trim around the handle and don t see another screw but the panel won t break loose.

First the small panel behind the door handle lock needs to be removed. Start in a lower corner and work around the panel and gently pull to separate the front door trim panel from the front door to disengage the white grip pin type retainers. Wedge a flathead screwdriver behind this portion of the panel and pry it loose. There are no screws at all in the door to take out.
